First Grade Moving to Westbrook

The Board of Education voted to approve the relocation of first grade to Westbrook School starting with the 2010-2011 school year. Though I have been here only a few short months, I realize the history of this topic and its impact on the community and staff. This decision will help tremendously to alleviate the overcrowding that has existed at Lions Park and Fairview while at the same time creating an extended environment for Westbrook. I hope everyone will join the Board of Education, the Administration, and the Staff in a commitment to making this transition a positive, collaborative effort.
