School District 57 Hosts Candidate Forum

Lincoln Middle School, in District 57, will be the site of the District's 2011 Candidate Forum. On Thursday, March 10th, the four candidates for the three seats available on the Board of Education have been invited to participate in this community event. The League of Women Voters will conduct the forum under the auspices of moderator, Robin LaBedz. The format of the Forum allows direct participation by the audience, as the audience members generate the questions to which the candidates must respond.

The Candidates Forum will be held in the Lincoln Middle School Library Resource Center (LRC) and will begin at 7:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to learn about the school board candidates and to make their decisions in this contested election. We look forward to this event and thanks to District 57 PTAs for providing hospitality on the evening of March 10th.

The school board candidates, in their ballot order, are: Joseph Leane, Nick Papanicholas, Joe Sonnefeldt, and Dennis Composto.
