Fond farewell for Dr. Gorr
Westbrook planned a surprise sendoff for Dr. Mary Gorr, just before she leaves to become District 57's assistant superintendent for teaching and learning. The celebration was attended by all of the staff and students, retirees who came back for the occasion and Dr. Gorr's young sons and the rest of her family. There were video tributes, a special song performed by the children, a music video performed by staff and other special surprises. Assistant Principal Kristin Vonder Haar will become principal of Westbrook.
