Mayor pays a visit to Lions Park
Mount Prospect Mayor Arlene Juracek visited with Lions Park students before the end of school. She helped deliver morning announcements, then spoke to each grade about our local government and her role as mayor. She also answered many questions from the students, such as: "What's your favorite part of being mayor?" "Is it really easy or really hard to be a mayor?" "Is it hard to be the mayor and have a family at the same time?" "What's your favorite sports team?" We thank also to School Board member Vicki Chung, who, as part of the Lions Park PTO, started the Civic Engagement Committee this year and invited the mayor to visit.
