Illinois Assessment of Readiness
District 57's testing window for the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) begins March 11 for students in grades 3 to 8. Students will be assessed in English Language Arts and Mathematics the week of the March 11 and the week of March 18; please see your school's newsletter from March 8 for grade-level schedules. The IAR replaces the PARCC, and this is the first year the state is giving the new assessment. However, it is almost the same as the assessment that students took last year, just slightly shorter.
Parents/guardians are asked to make sure students are in attendance on their testing days, if possible, and that they are well rested and eat a healthy breakfast. Lincoln students will need their Chromebooks (fully charged) and their headphones or earbuds. For more information about the IAR, visit this website: https://www.isbe.net/iar.
