The Circle of Friends Program is:
- A District 57 operated preschool program that includes children with and without special needs
- Taught by a certified early childhood teacher and certified assistants in collaboration with a speech-language therapist
- Structured using developmentally appropriate practices that emphasize cognitive, language, social and emotional growth
- A naturalistic early childhood environment where children imitate and learn play and social skills
- A program that recognizes children as active leaders
Components of Circle of Friends:
- Center-based learning which promotes kindergarten readiness
- Children explore and discover their world using a variety of developmentally appropriate materials and experiences
- Structured play activities which develop social and problem solving skills as well as cooperative learning
- Parent education is an integral and on-going part of the program

- The program follows the District 57 calendar
- We are located in Westbrook School for Young Learners at 103 S. Busse in Mt. Prospect
- We operate four days a week (Tuesday through Friday) with a morning and an afternoon session
- The tuition is comparable with local preschools.
