Student Fees

The District 57 student fee structure with respect to the following categories: curriculum, supplies and other fees, transportation, extracurricular, lunch program, summer school, preschool, and child care is based upon the fundamental belief that student fees shall cover the cost, or a portion thereof, associated with providing textbooks, instructional supplies and materials, and educational services. These fees are annually reviewed and approved by the Board of Education.

Student Accident Insurance

District 57 does not carry accident insurance on its students. In accordance with Board Policy 4:100, the Board shall annually designate a company to offer student accident insurance coverage, and any contract is between the parents/guardians and the company. Students participating in athletics, cheerleading, or pom-pons must have student accident insurance unless the parents/guardians acknowledge that the student is covered under a family health insurance plan.
