Introduction

The technology department supports the mission of the district by providing and maintaining technology systems and services utilized in our various learning environments.

This includes the network infrastructure of wireless access points, switches, routers and firewalls. Internet access services, servers and storage systems, desktops and mobile devices, audio/video systems in classrooms, telephones, printers, scanners and other computing devices, Windows, ChromeOS, and OS X operating systems, instructional software titles, and applications for our administrative services such as human resources, business, payroll, food services, library, and online registration.

Student Data Privacy

Effective July 1, 2021, school districts will be required by the Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) to provide additional guarantees that student data is protected when collected by educational technology companies, and that data is used for beneficial purposes only (105 ILCS 85).
