Dear D57 Families,
I hope you can stop by the Westbrook School playground today for our meet and greet! We will be there between 5:30 and 7 p.m. I am honored and excited to be your new superintendent, and I look forward to saying hello to parents and students as we prepare to kick off the school year. Dr. Kristin Vonder Haar, the new Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, and Mr. Jason Kaiz, the new Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, will also be at the meet and greet. I know it will be hot outside, but don’t worry, we’ll have popsicles to share! I hope your family can join us.
On July 16, I distributed detailed back-to-school information, including updates on masking, vaccinations, remote learning, social distancing, and more. Please review this important information
at this link if you have not already done so. Administrators and staff at the schools are hard at work preparing for the new year. You will be receiving more school-specific details from them soon.
We are looking forward to seeing students in just a few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy these warm summer days!
My best,
Dr. Mary Gorr
Superintendent of Schools
Mount Prospect District 57
