Flyers MUST…

1. Be submitted by established community, educational, charitable, recreational, or similar groups seeking to advertise community-based events or interests pertinent to the involvement of students or their families.

2. Be approved by the District in advance and must be submitted with this form for consideration.

3. Be submitted on Wednesdays to be included in our Friday newsletters.

4. Prominently identify the name of the community group or organization submitting the flyer.

5. Be compatible with the Board of Education’s educational mission and comply with all applicable Board of Education policies, including anti-harassment, anti-bullying, and non-discrimination policies. Board of Education Policies are available here

7. Be submitted in readable PDF format without live hyperlinks.

Flyers MUST NOT…

1. Be disruptive to the educational process of District 57 students or staff.

2. Be defamatory, obscene, vulgar, or objectively indecent.

3. Promote any political candidate or political party.

4. Include specific religious messaging, though the flyer may advertise a religious organization or service.

5. Violate the rights of others, including privacy rights.

6. Advertise uniquely individual messages (e.g., “Happy Birthday, Taylor. Love Mom and Dad”).

7. Infringe on any intellectual property rights, including trademarks and copyright restrictions. Community flyers may not include names or images of school buildings, the School District, employees, or students unless expressly authorized by the Superintendent.

8. Advertise a fundraiser unless the fundraiser directly benefits District 57 students or a student’s immediate family.

9. Indicate sponsorship or endorsement of District 57.

10. Be commercial (for profit) in nature.

11. Include content stating or depicting alcohol, tobacco, vapes, drugs, or similar products.
