Registering your child for kindergarten includes the following three steps:
Step 1. Online Pre-Enrollment
All families are
required to click on this
enrollment LINK to provide information prior to scheduling your in-person residency verification appointment (Step 2). Step 1 must be completed before moving to Step 2.
Step 2. In-Person Residency Verification
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must bring the following documents to Westbrook School during their scheduled appointment time to establish residency:
- The child’s original birth certificate (Office staff will make a copy & return the original.)
- A copy of a current lease, monthly mortgage statement, OR current tax bill.
- Two different current utility bills for two consecutive months (total of 4 bills.)
Step 3. Online Registration
The final step of the enrollment process occurs in late spring of 2024. District 57 will email families with a SNAP code and a link to the registration website. Residency verification must be complete in order for parents/guardians to receive the code and link.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Students must be 5-years-old on or by September 1, 2024 to be registered for kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Families will have the opportunity to be included in the lottery for the AM program. Pre-enrollment and residency verification must be complete and ALL paperwork is due by Friday, February 23rd to be included in the lottery.
- Placement notification will occur in early March 2024.
