"Community Committee Meeting - Full-Day Kindergarten & D57 Facilities Challenges"

District 57 launched a community engagement effort to gather feedback and direction on how the district should handle the state-mandated full-day kindergarten challenges, as well as facilities challenges at both Westbrook School for Young Learners and Lincoln Middle School. To accomplish this, the district convened a committee made up of a cross-section of District 57 stakeholders, including parents, teachers, taxpayers without children in the district, business owners, seniors, and elected officials. The committee was formalized at this meeting and tasked with the responsibility of actively gathering feedback from the community to determine what they would like to see for the future of District 57. Committee engagement will continue throughout all phases of this process.
