KINDERGARTEN LOTTERY

Program Information
Westbrook’s Kindergarten program is available to all families residing within the boundaries of District 57. Children must have reached the age of 5 on or before September 1, 2025, in order to be eligible for kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year. The kindergarten program is a half-day program with a choice of either a morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) session, scheduled from Monday through Friday.

Families will have the opportunity to enter a lottery for enrollment in the morning (AM) program. The lottery will utilize a random number generator to establish the order of placement. Once all available slots for the AM classes are filled, students will be assigned to the afternoon (PM) session. For those students who participated in the lottery but were not selected for the morning program, their randomly assigned number will determine their position on the AM waitlist. If any openings become available in the morning program, we will contact families accordingly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Westbrook office at (847) 394-7340 or [email protected].

WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten is an exciting time for everyone - our students and their families! Here at Westbrook, our littlest learners spend this foundational year growing as individuals, friends, readers, mathematicians, and community members. They spend time developing positive peer relationships and personal responsibility. These core skills and knowledge are woven into an exciting curriculum designed with the latest pedagogy in mind.

Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With engaging activities, hands-on learning experiences, and a focus on individualized attention, we aim to foster a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

Kindergarten offers early intervention and support for children who may have learning difficulties or developmental delays. Early identification and intervention can make a significant difference in addressing these challenges and ensuring that children receive the necessary support to reach their full potential.

Westbrook encourages family engagement and involvement in a child's education. Parents and caregivers play a crucial role in supporting their child's learning and development, and Kindergarten provides opportunities for families to participate in their child's educational journey through activities, events, and communication with teachers.

At Westbrook, we currently offer a half-day program that operates Monday to Friday, with morning sessions running from 9:20am - 11:50am and afternoon sessions from 1:20pm - 3:50pm. We understand the importance of flexibility for families, which is why bussing to and from school is available for a fee.

Join us on this incredible journey as we embark on the wonderful world of kindergarten together!
